Warehouse and distribution specialist C S Ellis has acquired specialist vehicle and container loading software, MaxLoad® Pro, from AutoLogic Systems. C S Ellis will use the software to maximise their container and vehicle fill for key contracts.

The Rutland based company employs 160 people and operates a national fleet of over 50 vehicles and 350,000 square feet of warehousing.

MaxLoad® Pro determines the best way of loading mixed size products onto vehicles and containers. Users can import existing properties of cases and pallets into the MaxLoad database to achieve cost savings of up to 10-25%. The software produces optimised 3D load plans with step-by-step loading instructions to ensure the minimum number of containers or vehicles are used for the customer’s orders whilst taking account of rules such as stacking and priority.
